The tree is climbed, the branches are removed as well as the treetop and the tree is securely grappled to the helicopter. A cut is made at the stem and the helicopter pulls the tree until it separates at the cut. This lift is done vertically so as to not affect the surrounding environment or other trees. This is also a safer method as you minimize the risk to workers as well.
